We Loved our Wedding Photographers! 🫶🏼

I recently came across a post about someone’s wedding photographer from Malaysia, and it made me realise that there are more couples like us who chose to engage photographers from 🇲🇾! It’s common yet not that common, haha. So I thought I’d share our own experience too.
We actually did our pre-wedding shoot in Malaysia and were so impressed by their craft. When searching on XHS, I saw so many other Malaysian studios with styles that I liked! I have a preference and vision of what and how I would want my wedding photos to turn out, not all photographers are the same! There were only a handful of local photographers I liked but they were either fully booked or charging $5-6k 😮💨. Then one day on XHS, I stumbled upon our eventual PG’s account, stalked their socials & portfolio and instantly loved their style!
We reached out via IG, left my number, and they contacted me very quickly. They had a separate SG price list and back in Nov 2023, it was $950 for 8-10 hours of service. Less than $1k is pretty insane if you ask me. (But please check with them for their current rates.)
Communication with them was smooth and clear! We discussed our schedule, clarified how their hours worked, and confirmed to engage them within the next few days. Honestly, it was quite a gamble. I had a tiny “what if they don’t show up?” worry, but these thoughts were uncalled 🤭. A few weeks before our wedding, we had a virtual call with the main photographer and he was so friendly that even my husband casually said, “Nice guy” after the call ended — and he never says that about anyone 🤣. Their style (candid + natural) was exactly what I wanted. Our PG even reminded us to rest well before the wedding and not stress out too much, which was such a thoughtful touch! We also got a really pleasant surprise when he mentioned that an assistant would be tagging along, giving us two camera angles. (They actually have a 2-photographer package, which I highly recommend to top up abit more to capture more moments)
On our actual wedding day, the team arrived 30 mins before the groom (this timing was given to them, set by us), enough to capture family moments and makeup shots before I put on my gown. They were super punctual, and don't have to worry about any custom jams because they arrived the night before (you have to provide their accommodations). They have their own car as well!
The team worked seamlessly with my videographer and made the morning feel super relaxed. While travelling from a place to another, they made sure to reach ahead of us to capture raw and natural shots of us alighting from the car etc. This was a nice touch because they captured many precious shots like our baby godson waiting to open our car doors. 🥹❤️
Their timing was flexible, and although we calculated the timing for them to leave right at the 10-hour mark, they went above and beyond and stayed way past without charging OT 😭. Throughout the day, they kept assuring us with a warm “没关系” 🫶🏼, carried heavy gears without complaint, and genuinely looked out for us like big brothers. This, is what I call professionalism. 💯
We received our photos 2 months later and needless to say, they all turned out so beautiful!! We received all edited soft copies, separated into morning & evening folders. There was a total of 1,200 images (yep, they really worked hard), with amazing angles and colours. I didn’t even feel the need for any extra editing, and I didn’t look fat in most of them (HAHA).
From handling our endless questions to their professionalism on the day, to the final photos, I cannot rave about them enough. 💖 Highly recommend you guys to check them out if you're looking for a photographer for your big day, and please be nice to them when enquiring!!! They're precious to us and we can't wait to engage them again for future photography needs!

If you can and if their videographers are available, consider engaging both PG + VG from the same team — I’ve been seeing more of their videography work lately and it’s beautiful! It also makes for a smoother, more seamless experience. 🥰

And if possible, consider engaging their videographers as well for a seamless visual storytelling experience. Overall, our Malaysian photographers brought professionalism, warmth, and artistry to our wedding day, making our memories truly timeless.
