Early PCD for BTO? Yes It’s Possible!

Hello 🍋s!!

It’s been a while since my last post, and I’m SO happy to finally share that we’ve entered a huge new phase of our lives: our homeowner era! 😭🥹

The day we’d been waiting for finally came, and what a blessing it was, as we got our keys 6 months earlier than the original PCD stated when we first balloted for our BTO! (Was 2027Q1 - a whopping 2Q in advance!!)

______________________

If you’ve been diligently checking your BTO building progress and are amazed by how fast it’s moving, you might have wondered: “Can we get our keys earlier?” (yes there’s a chance!)

In this post, I’m sharing our experience with an early PCD (thank u HDB!), including our timeline from the roadshow and email notifications all the way to key collection, so you can have a rough idea of what the process might look like!

Of course, every BTO project is different, especially when it comes to the waiting period between the roadshow and key collection. (Some projects can be as quick as 1 month after the roadshow!) So, take our timeline with a grain of salt as this is purely based on our own experience!

I’ll be sharing lots more about our home renovation journey and everything in between in the days to come, so stay tuned and follow us on IG @zengmyhome for more! And feel free to ask any questions you may have 🙆🏻‍♀️

Here's the honest breakdown of which bank to pick & why it actually matters What you need to know: — cda = child development account = government's way of saying "here, save for your baby" — first/second child: $5,000 guaranteed — third child onwards: $10,000 guaranteed —

✨ From PCOS to My First Pregnancy ✨
I dated my husband for 9 years and we’ve been married for 2. For as long as I can remember, my menstrual cycles were irregular and painful. In my early 20s, I gained weight rapidly and brushed it off as university stress, poor lifestyle habits, and lack of exercise — the “normal” uni life excuses.

A lot of people assume the answer is automatically no, but in Singapore, it usually comes down to how early you start building wealth and preparing for the downpayment. Most people who manage to buy in their 20s aren’t necessarily earning extraordinary salaries (like me when I bought my first house
