✅ Opened a starter card (secured/student card)
✅ Used it for small stuff like gas & food
✅ Paid it off in full every month (no interest, no debt)
✅ Kept my balance under 30% (preferably under 10%)
By senior year, lenders already trusted me. And the earlier you start, the longer your credit history grows — that’s a big part of your score.
