NEW Hawaiian shaved ice ALANI NU🥥🌴

ATTENTION!! THERES A NEW HAWAIIAN SHAVED ICE!! The recent release is a change in recipe to the old drink, but I think they taste totally different! Personally…. I’m not as much of a fan 😕. I think they made it too sweet this time and I think it tastes like Piña colada mix with a weird after taste. It kinda made me sad bcs the old Hawaiian shaved ice was one of my favs 😩 what are your opinions? Fav energy drink? (My fav drink of theirs is dream float or cherry twist)

... Read moreEnergy drink enthusiasts, gather 'round! There's a new Alani Nu Hawaiian Shaved Ice out, and as someone who adored the original, I had to try it the moment I saw it. The can still boasts that vibrant, tropical design, declaring '0 SUGAR,' just like the image I snapped. But as it turns out, sometimes 'new' doesn't always mean 'improved,' especially when it comes to beloved flavors. My initial excitement quickly turned into a bit of a head-scratcher. The original Hawaiian Shaved Ice was a perfect blend of tropical notes, a refreshing pick-me-up that hit all the right spots. This new version, however, feels like a completely different drink. When people search 'what does Hawaiian Shaved Ice Alani taste like,' they're looking for that signature experience. For me, this new one leaned heavily into what felt like a super-sweet piña colada mix. While some might enjoy that, I found it almost overwhelmingly sweet, despite the '0 SUGAR' label, which often points to intense artificial sweeteners. This leads to the question, 'does Hawaiian Shaved Ice Alani have pineapple?' Given the strong piña colada vibe, I'd say pineapple is definitely a dominant note here, perhaps more so than in the previous formulation. Then there's the aftertaste. The original never left me with a lingering odd flavor, but this new one has a peculiar finish that I just couldn't shake. It's tough to describe, but it took away from the overall enjoyment. It really made me miss the simpler, cleaner taste of the old formula. I can see why many are asking about 'old Alani flavors' or searching for 'old Alani cans' – there's a definite nostalgia for that original blend that captured the essence of a true Hawaiian shaved ice without overdoing it. For those who might be disappointed by this new iteration, like I was, don't despair! Alani Nu has a fantastic range of other flavors. My personal go-to's are Dream Float and Cherry Twist, which still deliver that consistent, delicious kick. The Dream Float, which I even had alongside the New Vs. Old Hawaiian Shaved Ice cans in my comparison, is wonderfully creamy and citrusy, a stark contrast to the new tropical blend. It's a reminder that even if one flavor doesn't quite hit the mark, there's always another Alani Nu waiting to become your new favorite. Have you tried the new Hawaiian Shaved Ice? What were your thoughts compared to the original, or what other Alani flavors do you absolutely love?

I like the new one better. It’s basically a tigers blood snow cone 😋 the old one tastes strange to me

I want to like these but I can’t! I had them one time and was diagnosed with COVID a couple days later. I know the two aren’t connected but it’s just the association! I can’t even drink them now.
