Downtown Charlottesville VA ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿงก

Today my bf and I got to explore downtown Charlottesville and it was beautiful!

These were a few of my fav places! Def a must visit for 2025!

Pawprints Boutique: all things dogs and cats! So many treat options, collars, dog beds, socks, dog clothes, etc!

Grit Coffee, Downtown: my bf got a plain dripped coffee and I got the lavender latte and it was so good! The art on the latte was also amazing and the barista made a lavender flower!

The Men's & Boys' Shop: this store has all your fancy needs for menโ€™s and boys! Thereโ€™s suit jackets, dress shoes, dress belts, dress shirts, all the things!

There were several bookstores and I wish we had more time to explore because they were so cute!

There were also several old structures from original downtown that made the experience great! And donโ€™t forget to take a picture with their sign made with bushes!

Thereโ€™s also several places to eat! We just chose to eat somewhere else tho :)

... Read moreMy recent visit to downtown Charlottesville was truly memorable, and a huge highlight was definitely Grit Coffee Downtown Charlottesville! Like many, I'm always on the hunt for that perfect coffee shop experience, and Grit Coffee absolutely delivered. I'd heard whispers about their unique lattes, and I just had to try the lavender latte. Seriously, if you're looking for something a little different and incredibly delicious, this is it. The subtle floral notes blended perfectly with the rich espresso, creating a smooth and aromatic drink that was pure bliss. And the barista? An absolute artist! They crafted a beautiful lavender flower design right on top of my latte โ€“ it was almost too pretty to drink. It really shows the dedication to quality and presentation that makes this spot stand out. Beyond the amazing coffee, the atmosphere at Grit Coffee is just fantastic. Itโ€™s got that cozy yet vibrant buzz that makes it perfect for a quick pick-me-up, catching up with friends, or even settling in with a book. You can see why it's a local favorite and a must-visit for anyone exploring the area. After fueling up at Grit, we decided to take a stroll and discover what else downtown Charlottesville had to offer. One tip I'd give is to really embrace the walkability of the area. We stumbled upon so many charming spots! For instance, if you're a pet parent, you have to check out Pawprints Boutique. It's packed with adorable treats, collars, and toys for both dogs and cats โ€“ I could have spent hours in there! The downtown area also boasts some incredible history. We passed by several old structures, including what looked like an old bank building, which really added to the charm. The architecture tells a story, and it's fascinating to see how the past blends with the present. And don't forget to find the iconic 'C'VILLE' sign made entirely of bushes โ€“ it's a fantastic photo op! For book lovers, you're in for a treat. While we didn't have time to fully explore, I spotted several lovely bookstores, including the historic New Dominion Bookshop, established way back in 1924. Imagine all the stories within those walls! There was also Oyster House Antiques, which looked like a treasure trove waiting to be discovered. So, if you're planning a trip to Charlottesville, make sure Grit Coffee Downtown is high on your list. Grab that lavender latte, enjoy the latte art, and then let the charming streets of downtown lead you to your next adventure, whether it's pet supplies, historic landmarks, or a good book. It's truly a place with something for everyone!

If yall go down there bring something to protect yourself. Or go in a group of people๐Ÿ˜ญitโ€™s so bad down there. The homeless and just not very nice people.and if you do go to Charlottesville DO NOT go on the trails.
