Who else is worthy? 🙌🏼
It's a feeling I know all too well: that nagging whisper of 'not good enough,' the heavy weight of 'unworthiness.' We all face moments, or even seasons, where we struggle with a lack of belief in our personal worthiness. Maybe it's past mistakes, societal pressures, or just comparison traps that make us question our value. But what if I told you that your worth isn't something you have to earn, but something that has already been divinely bestowed upon you? My journey to understanding true worth began when I truly grasped the profound message of Jesus Christ. The Bible speaks of Him as the 'Lamb of God,' the 'anointed One,' the 'righteous One' who 'was and is, and is to come,' eternally 'seated on the throne above.' But what does that mean for *us*, for our feeling of being unworthy? It means everything. The most powerful testament to our inherent value is found in His sacrifice. He 'shed His blood to prove to us the Father's love.' Think about that for a moment. God, the creator of the universe, loved us so immensely that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the ultimate price. This wasn't because we were perfect, or because we had achieved some level of spiritual enlightenment. It was purely out of His boundless love for us. This truth completely re-framed my perspective. I realized that my worth isn't dependent on my performance, my achievements, or even my failures. It's grounded in who God says I am, and what Jesus did for me. When I felt unloved or overlooked, I reminded myself of the 'Father's love' proven on the cross. When self-doubt crept in, I remembered that I am seen as precious and valuable in His eyes, so much so that the 'righteous One' gave His life for me. Practically, what does this look like day-to-day? For me, it means spending time in prayer, meditating on verses that speak of God's love and my identity in Christ. It means surrounding myself with a community that uplifts and reminds me of these truths. It's an ongoing process of choosing to believe what God says about me over what the world, or even my own inner critic, tries to whisper. So, if you're wrestling with a 'lack of belief in personal worthiness,' know this: you are deeply loved. You are not an accident. You were created with purpose, and Jesus Christ's sacrifice is the ultimate declaration of your infinite value. Let that truth sink into your heart today. Embrace the 'Father's love' and find your unshakable worth in the one who 'shed His blood' for you.
