I've always loved drawing and storytelling, and this series is a culmination of those passions. Today, I want to shine a spotlight on Bertha, one of the main characters, and a personal favorite. She’s grown so much since the series began, and it’s been amazing to watch her evolve. I recently revisited her design, and I’m so excited about her updated look. In the latest line art drawing I shared, you can see Bertha at age 15. I focused on giving her long, wavy hair, adorned with delicate flowers that really capture her free spirit. She’s sporting a stylish ruffled crop top, paired with comfortable denim shorts, and I added some charming heart-shaped earrings to complete her youthful vibe. It’s details like these that I love bringing to life, as they tell so much about a character's personality and growth. Bertha’s journey in the series is all about finding her voice and embracing her unique strengths. She’s often the thoughtful and artistic one, balancing Niya's more adventurous spirit. Through their adventures, they learn about courage, loyalty, and the power of their bond, exploring themes that I believe resonate with many. It’s more than just an animation; it’s a reflection of the challenges and joys of growing up. Creating these characters and watching them grow through their stories is incredibly rewarding. I put a lot of thought into each character's arc and how they interact, ensuring that every episode offers something meaningful.
