Cute Boba/Matcha Place in Doraville GA
📍 4.0 Ice Cream & Drinks in Doraville, GA
Trying several matcha drinks and here’s my review.
⭐ Oat Matcha Latte
the matcha flavor is strong with a deep matcha fragrance. Smooth, creamy, and well balanced with oat milk. I like this one, if I want bold flavors 9/10
⭐ Mochi Egg Tart
Custard is super creamy and silky. I expected more chewy mochi texture, but it mostly melted into the custard instead. Still tasty though 9/10
⭐ Matcha Camellia
Camellia tea based with strong matcha and floral fragrance. Very silky, aromatic, and one of the more unique drinks on the menu. I like this one the most 9.5/10
⭐ Pink Matcha
Looks beautiful, but flavor is simple, just coconut water with matcha. Would be better with coconut meat for more texture.8/10
⭐ Camellia Taro Matcha
A little overwhelming for me. Includes boba and mochi, but the flavors feel too mixed together and less balanced. I wouldn’t even want the boba in it 7/10

Visiting 4.0 Ice Cream & Drinks in Doraville offers a refreshing twist for matcha enthusiasts looking to explore unique flavor combinations. What stood out the most during my visits was the balance of authentic matcha flavors paired with smooth textures and creative blends. Starting with the Oat Matcha Latte, the pronounced matcha essence combined with creamy oat milk makes it an excellent choice for those who prefer bold and rich green tea flavors without the heaviness of traditional dairy. It’s also a healthier dairy-free option that doesn't compromise on taste. The Mochi Egg Tart was an intriguing fusion of creamy custard with hints of chewy mochi—although the mochi texture was softer than anticipated, it still brought a delightful softness to the tart experience. This treat is ideal for anyone craving a comforting dessert with familiar Asian flavors. The Matcha Camellia was my personal favorite. Utilizing a camellia tea base, this drink elevates the typical matcha experience with its floral aroma and silky smoothness. This combination presents a distinctive and refreshing beverage that stands out from common matcha options. For those curious to try something lighter, the Pink Matcha offers a pretty presentation with a simple, refreshing blend of coconut water and matcha. Adding coconut meat could potentially enhance the texture and enrich the taste profile for those who enjoy tropical influences. On the other hand, the Camellia Taro Matcha proved to be a bit complex. With a mix of matcha, mochi, taro, and boba, the flavors felt slightly muddled and overwhelmed rather than harmonious. This highlights how balancing bold ingredients in one drink can be challenging. If you’re in the Doraville area and want to savor matcha in various forms, this place offers a thoughtfully curated menu to suit different preferences. I recommend trying the Matcha Camellia first for a uniquely aromatic experience, followed by the Oat Matcha Latte for something more familiar yet bold. The Mochi Egg Tart is a must-try dessert for anyone who loves creamy, silky sweets with a nostalgic touch. Overall, 4.0 Ice Cream & Drinks creates an inviting spot for matcha lovers and adventurous foodies alike, encouraging customers to explore new textures and flavors while enjoying a casual, comfortable atmosphere.
