My xTiles custom Page & Pomodoro Timer
I just started using xTiles for about a week or so now. I'm still in setup, but I wanted to show off my page I created to match my physical planner I designed for my new collection. I even learned how to make a matching Pomodoro Timer
I shared the Timer on the tube as well.

Getting started with a new digital workspace like xTiles can feel daunting, but the potential for personalization and improved productivity is incredible! Many of us are looking for ways to integrate various tools and 'widgets' into our planning systems to keep everything organized and boost our 'Focus.' My journey with xTiles has just begun, and I've already discovered how powerful it is to create a custom PLANNER that truly works for me. One of the biggest questions I had when I started was about 'widgets for xTiles.' While xTiles might not have an app store for traditional widgets, its flexible block system allows you to create your own custom widgets! Think of embedding external tools or designing specific sections within your page. For instance, my custom Pomodoro Timer isn't just a static image; it's a functional element that helps me manage my work blocks. You can easily build blocks for daily task lists, habit trackers, quick notes, or even embed links to your favorite online tools. This level of customization means your digital workspace can truly reflect your needs, making it a powerful hub for all your productivity efforts. Speaking of productivity, enhancing your 'Focus' is key, and that brings me to the concept of 'flocus plus free' strategies. Beyond the Pomodoro Timer (which I highly recommend with its classic '4x25min' work, then break structure), there are many free ways to maintain concentration that you can integrate into your xTiles setup. I've found that scheduling specific 'Break Time' activities helps immensely. For example, my planner reminds me to 'have some tea' or 'go for a quick walk outside' during those breaks. You can create dedicated sections in xTiles for 'Focus' techniques, linking to articles on mindfulness, or simply outlining your daily meditation practice. Embedding a simple online stopwatch or a sound-blocking app link within your xTiles page can also serve as a 'Timer' widget to keep you on track. To make the most of your xTiles, experiment with different layouts for your custom PLANNER pages. Don't be afraid to try out various blocks and embeds. Start with what you need most – whether it's a clear daily schedule, a project tracker, or a simplified dashboard for your goals. The beauty of xTiles is its flexibility; if something isn't working, you can easily rearrange and redesign. My biggest tip for new users is to embrace the iterative process. Your perfect digital workspace won't appear overnight, but with a little experimentation, you'll find a customized system that helps you stay organized, focused, and productive!
