The second I saw this galaxy glitter 3D printing filament I had to try it 😍🌈 I was hopping a little more glitter would shine through in the print but overall still think it preformed well! #3dprinting #3dprintingforbeginners #3dprintingfilament
Okay, so when I first saw this "world's sexiest" galaxy glitter 3D printing filament, I had to try it. Seriously, the moment I spotted the Colorfulo Magic PLA, boasting its galaxy glitter and color-changing properties, I knew my printer needed a taste of that multi-color shining effect. At around $39 for a 1KG spool, I kept asking myself: is it truly worth it? My initial impression, straight out of the box, was pure excitement. The filament itself looked incredible, shimmering with what they call "holographic glitter." I've printed with glitter filaments before, but this one promised something different – a truly super vibrant rainbow glitter effect. My first few prints, like a standard Benchy (which, by the way, still doesn't float for me!), were a good test. I was hoping for more glitter to shine through in the print, especially indoors, and I admit, it wasn't as intense as I'd imagined at first glance. However, this is where the magic truly begins: lighting. The OCR mentioned it, and it's absolutely true. If you take your print out into the sun, or even hit it with a flash, the effect is phenomenal! Suddenly, those subtle sparkles explode into a dazzling, super vibrant rainbow glitter. It's like having a secret, hidden galaxy within your prints. This makes it perfect if you're creating pieces for outdoor markets or anything that will catch natural light. For indoor display under regular lighting, the effect is a bit more subdued, but still undeniably pretty. Now, about the "color-changing" aspect. While it doesn't dramatically shift colors like some special filaments, the glitter itself gives a multi-tonal, iridescent shimmer that changes hues depending on the angle and light. It's less of a chemical color change and more of an optical illusion, which is still very cool. So, after trying it out, would I say it's a "smash or pass" on this galaxy glitter filament? For me, it's a definite smash, with a small caveat. If you're expecting explosive glitter in every indoor lighting condition without a flash, you might be slightly underwhelmed initially. But if you appreciate the subtle sparkle that transforms into a dazzling rainbow under direct light, especially sunlight, then this Colorfulo Magic PLA is absolutely worth the investment. It adds a unique, premium feel to creations that standard filaments just can't match. I'd highly recommend it for special projects, gifts, or anything that needs that extra touch of celestial magic. What should I print with this awesome filament next?
