You know how life underwater (and above!) can get, with currents pulling you in all sorts of directions, but I always find my way back to share my journey with you. It’s a place where we support each other, share our passions, and dream up new ways to protect our beautiful blue planet. Whether you're a fellow mermaid, a beach clean-up warrior, or just someone who gazes at the sea with wonder, you're part of this family. So, what’s been the latest buzz? Well, since my last big dive into updates around Dec 23, 2022 (can you believe it’s been that long?!), a lot has shifted. Personally, I’ve been spending more time exploring new coastal areas, documenting marine life, and even experimenting with some new eco-friendly initiatives. Just 'me' out there, discovering and learning. The connection I feel to these waters grows stronger every day, and it constantly inspires new ideas for how we can all contribute to its well-being. One of the most exciting recent developments within #TheBeaconFamily has been our joint effort on the 'Coastal Guardians' project. We’ve had incredible turnouts for our recent beach clean-ups, with so many new faces joining our ranks. It's truly heartwarming to see how many people are eager to roll up their sleeves and make a tangible difference. We're not just picking up trash; we're building friendships and fostering a collective environmental consciousness. We even celebrated a major milestone last month, clearing over a ton of plastic from one of our most beloved local coves! It was a truly momentous occasion, demonstrating the power of our community when we work together towards a common goal. Beyond the clean-ups, I've also been busy preparing for our annual 'Ocean Voices' digital summit, which is just around the corner. It's a fantastic opportunity for experts, activists, and enthusiasts from #TheBeaconFamily and beyond to share their insights on marine conservation, sustainable living, and ocean advocacy. I'll be hosting a session on how small, everyday actions can create ripple effects for massive change. I can't wait to share more details soon, so keep your eyes peeled on our family channels!
