Where are the Harry Potter Fans? 🤗

Following up on my exciting Aldi find – that magical Harry Potter train set! It's truly a gem, especially for sparking imagination. But beyond just watching the train go around the tracks, how else can we bring the wizarding world to life for our little witches and wizards? I've been brainstorming some fantastic Harry Potter activities for kids that are perfect for any fan, whether you're getting ready for Christmas like me or just looking for some weekend fun. First up, DIY Wand Making! This is always a hit. Gather some sticks from your yard (or craft store dowels if you prefer), hot glue, and paint. Let the kids design their own unique wands, pretending they're picking them out at Ollivanders. We love doing this, making each wand unique with swirly patterns and glitter. It's amazing to see their creativity flow as they craft their own magical tool. Next, let's dive into a Potions Class Fun! This is a sensory delight that’s super easy to set up. Use ingredients like baking soda, vinegar (add a few drops of food coloring for dramatic effect), glitter, dish soap, and even some 'magical' items like plastic spiders or googly eyes. Kids can mix up their own concoctions, watching them fizz and bubble like real potions. We often call ours 'Polyjuice Potion' or 'Felix Felicis' – the kids get such a kick out of it! For something a bit more active, why not organize a Mini Quidditch Match? You don't need flying brooms to have a blast! Set up hoops using hula hoops or even laundry baskets. Use a soft ball for the Quaffle and smaller balls for Bludgers. Kids can run around, trying to score points and avoid the 'bludgers'. It's a fantastic way to burn off some energy and pretend they're soaring through the air like true Quidditch players. Looking for a cozy activity that’s still full of magic?
