Dollar Tree had these so I picked them up. The packaging is so cute. Its giving LoveShackFancy. Crème Caramel is very caramel and the Coco Rose is very rose scented. Sadly the sent doesnt last very long by itself. Layering them with other oils and perfumes does helps the scent last a little longer.
... Read moreOkay, so I just had to share my recent Dollar Tree haul! You know how it is – you go in for one thing and come out with a treasure. This time, my treasure was the Amberglow Hand & Body Lotion collection. I spotted these on the shelf and immediately grabbed two scents: Crème Caramel and Coco Rose.
First off, let's talk about the packaging. Seriously, it's giving major aesthetics! The ornate pink and gold packaging with a cute bow design and delicate rose patterns on the Coco Rose tube, plus those elegant gold dot and pattern accents on the Crème Caramel one, makes these look way more expensive than they are. The bottles are a decent size, 236 ML / 8 FL.OZ., perfect for keeping in your bag or on your vanity. They genuinely look like something you'd find at a boutique, not a dollar store!
Now for the scents themselves. The Crème Caramel is exactly what you'd expect – a warm, sweet, gourmand delight that smells just like a delicious dessert. It's rich and comforting, perfect for those who love vanilla, sugar, and caramel notes. On the other hand, the Coco Rose is a beautiful, light floral scent with a hint of coconut, making it a bit more fresh and romantic. It's not an overpowering rose, which I appreciate. Both are lovely and pleasant to apply.
As my initial post mentioned, the main drawback is that the scent doesn't last very long on its own. It's a fleeting pleasure, which is a bit of a bummer if you're looking for an all-day fragrance. However, this is where the value comes in, especially for something you found at Dollar Tree. For this price point, you can't really complain too much about longevity.
But here's a little trick I've found to make them work harder for you: layering! If you love the Crème Caramel scent, try pairing it with a vanilla body oil or a perfume that has warm, sweet notes. It really helps anchor the fragrance and extend its wear. For Coco Rose, I've had great success layering it with a light rose or coconut-scented body mist, or even an unscented lotion first to create a base. Applying these lotions right after a shower when your skin is still damp also helps lock in the moisture and the scent for a little longer.
So, are these Amber Glow lotions worth picking up at Dollar Tree? Absolutely, if you love cute packaging, enjoy trying new scents without breaking the bank, and don't mind a bit of layering. They're fantastic for a quick refresh, to use before bed, or just for a little self-care moment. Plus, let's be real, finding something this adorable and functional at Dollar Tree feels like winning the lottery! I haven't seen these on Temu with 'precio en temu' searches, so Dollar Tree seems to be the place to grab them while you can. Happy shopping!
