MODELING 101

hey lemon 8! i am here today to give some beginner advice to people interested in modeling 📸

when creating a modeling portfolio 💼, i really recommend diversifying your photos 🌅.

when i say this, i mean have a VARIETY of photoshoots, in addition to your head shots, and still photos 😁. your head shots are a little to no make up photo of yourself showing your features. your stills are photos in basic monotone clothing (white, black tops, with jeans and shoes) that show your body features along with your face.

while having a diverse model portfolio isn’t a “requirement” for gettin signed to agencies and working with magazines and doing photoshoots, it helps with getting opportunities when you first start 😁. even if you have no “ modeling “ experience outside of your personal photoshoots, you will have a variety of different looks, poses, and styles that you can show forth. [modeling is in quotes because your own personal photoshoots is experience, even if it’s not documented in my opinion]

the more versatile your portfolio is the better!

so for some examples, do close ups, do makeup, different hairstyles, photoshoots, bikini, alternative clothing, minimalistic, exotic clothes, work with different types of shoes, runway poses/ imitation, some poses with multiple people, try doing outdoor, indoor, in a studio, etc. ⭐️

i understand not being able to access all of these places, but these are just some suggestions. please let me know if there are any questions! i hope this helps!
