All you can eat in flushing 🤔

Today’s Eat or Pass was definitely interesting. Unfortunately, the language barrier made the experience a little frustrating. I had planned to eat clean, but I fell off today. The food was decent, but the customer service wasn’t great.

They had rolling carts filled with different foods like dumplings, meats, few vegetables, and pastries.

Overall rating: 3/10: Overall wouldn’t recommend or come back. East Buffet

... Read moreDuring my visit to the East Buffet in Flushing, I noticed that while the buffet offered a variety of items such as dumplings, meats, some vegetables, and pastries presented on rolling carts, the overall dining experience didn't meet my expectations. One notable aspect was the language barrier, which made requesting certain dishes or clarifying menu options difficult and contributed to some frustration during the meal. What stood out is that this restaurant promotes a no-tip and no service charge policy, which is somewhat unusual but could be appealing to travelers or diners wanting straightforward pricing. The dim sum options are priced by size, ranging from small to super large pieces, with prices varying accordingly. This pricing model reflects in the quality and portion sizes, which I found to be decent but not exceptional. For those who seek variety and convenience, East Buffet's rolling cart concept allows diners to try multiple dishes without waiting in line. However, the limited selection of vegetables made it challenging for those wanting to eat cleaner or healthier. The meat options were adequate but could benefit from improved seasoning or preparation consistency. Customer service is an essential part of dining, especially in buffet settings where staff help keep the experience smooth and enjoyable. Unfortunately, during my visit, the service was not as attentive as expected. This lack of warmth and assistance could deter repeat visits and impact overall satisfaction. If you plan to visit Flushing for an all-you-can-eat experience, consider exploring other established Chinese and Asian buffet spots that might offer a wider selection, better service, and a more welcoming environment. Nonetheless, East Buffet could be an option for casual diners who prioritize price and variety over service and ambiance. Being aware of these factors beforehand can help prepare for your visit and enhance your dining decision-making process.
