Rowan Tree
This is an amazing, one of a kind, quilt work by my incredibly talented friend. It's a 22x33" tapestry of a Rowan tree (otherwise known as a mountain ash). In Celtic mythology, trees are sacred, and this tree in particular was known for being highly magical, due to it's orangish-red berries that have tiny pentagons at their base. The Rowan is considered a fairy tree, good for protection and wisdom, and it's berries and it's wood are used in magical spells and rituals.
