Bathroom finds pt. 1

Redecorating my guest bathroom.

I am obsessed with my Mona Lisa picture! Thank you hobby lobby! Side note I had to drive almost an hour away to find a copy of this picture! And I live around 5 hobby lobby’s! All were sold out!

I ran with the dark greens cause it’s literally my favorite color.

I still have a lot to do but this is the start of something great!

Dark green is an excellent choice—it brings a calming, natural vibe that can be both bold and soothing depending on the shade and materials used. For example, dark green rugs or bath mats made from soft, washable fabrics add texture and warmth, while coordinating shower curtains with subtle patterns or tassels can enhance a farmhouse or boho aesthetic without overwhelming the room. I’ve found that sourcing unique pieces like art prints requires extra effort; traveling to multiple stores or searching online can often be necessary to find limited-edition or popular prints. The Mona Lisa print mentioned in the post is a perfect example—sometimes hunting for a special piece is part of the fun and adds sentimental value to the decor. It’s also wise to check home goods stores for complementary items such as vintage-style runners, which can extend the color theme beyond the bathroom and create flow throughout adjoining rooms. In my experience, layering textures in a bathroom with dark green tones—like adding woven bath towels, tufted or textured shower curtains, and soft, non-slip rugs—can transform a simple redecorating project into a cozy, inviting space. A mixture of modern minimalist and boho farmhouse elements works well here, especially when the color scheme is consistent and thoughtfully curated. Plus, practical touches such as washable and water-repellent materials ensure longevity and ease of maintenance. If you are redecorating your guest bathroom, I recommend setting a small budget for key statement pieces, like an inspirational art print or an elegant rug. The rest of the decor can be thoughtfully layered around these items to create harmony and style. Don’t forget to complement your dark green accents with neutral or warm tones to avoid a heavy look. Lighting is another crucial factor—soft white or warm bulbs can enhance the rich tones of the green and showcase your art beautifully. Overall, the combination of unique art, a favorite color theme, and carefully chosen textures and accessories can turn any guest bathroom into a charming retreat that reflects your personality and home aesthetic.
