Sappy post incoming! I can’t believe I’m finally going to see @5 Seconds of Summer live. When @Ray Gurule91 wrote to me and let me know he purchased the tickets from my birthday wishlist, I immediately burst into tears. My mind was flooded with memories beginning when I was just ten years old. Countless hours spent listening to their music, the cakes I would bake in honor of their birthdays, the lifetime of my birthdays spent watching their music videos, the memories of dressing up as 5sos for Halloween with my childhood best friend, and most importantly how much they’ve helped me through & how they inspired me to finally commit and learn guitar. I wouldn’t be here if I hadn’t learned guitar as a pre-teen with YouTube tutorials. Most days I feel like I’ll suffocate if I don’t have my guitar near me to help me release. It’s my lifeline and I wouldn’t have it without 5 Seconds of Summer.
Something most people don’t know is how I started on social media. It has unexpectedly become a major part of my life, but when I started, I was just a pre-teen probably too young for the internet having fun. The following I initially gained was a community and friends that I made in 5 Seconds of Summer and One Direction fan groups from all over the world (shout out 5sos Weirdos you were always my favorite). Many of the friends I made at eleven years old in those 5sos groups still support my social media today! We have had the privilege to watch each other grow up. I see you all posting your marriage, kids, education, career, and other milestones. I will always cherish this and remember where we started. Look how far we’ve come.
5 Seconds of Summer have been a fundamental part of my life. I can’t believe I’m seeing them 🥹 Ray, thank you for making my dreams come true. You’re the absolute cherry best forever and always. This truly will be the best day of my life and I’ll never forget it. I could never thank you enough. Thank you for being my Ray of sunshine in this world 🍒♥️

Attending a live concert of your favorite band is truly an unforgettable experience, especially when they played a significant role in shaping your life and passions. For me, 5 Seconds of Summer has been more than just a band; they've been a constant source of inspiration and comfort throughout my formative years. I remember how their music energized me and gave me strength during tough times. Learning guitar through YouTube tutorials, fueled by my admiration for 5 Seconds of Summer, transformed my hobby into a lifeline. It’s amazing how music can connect us to our emotions and enable self-expression in ways nothing else can. Having my guitar close during challenging days became essential for my well-being. Beyond music, joining fan communities early on opened a door to a global network of friendships that have lasted over a decade. These connections gave me a sense of belonging, shared joy, and a support system that extended far beyond fandom. Watching each other evolve—from celebrating birthdays to career milestones—has been a beautiful journey. Going to a live concert after all these years magnifies the emotions tied to these memories. The anticipation, the crowd’s energy, and the live performance itself create a moment of pure joy. It’s not just about the music but the culmination of years of personal growth, friendships, and dreams realized. If you’re a fan of 5 Seconds of Summer or any band that resonates deeply with you, embracing their music and the communities around them can lead to unexpected treasures. Whether it's inspiring you to pick up an instrument, meet lifelong friends, or simply find comfort, these experiences remind us how powerful music and shared passions are in our lives. This truly will be the best day of my life, and I hope every fan gets to experience something just as magical with their beloved artists.
