Husband cheating signs?

We’ve been married 2 years, have a kid together, and were hosting some friends at our place. At one point I went to check on the bathroom because someone was waiting. The door lock is broken, so when I opened it… my husband was on the toilet and a female friend was in there with him “washing her face.”

I shut the door immediately, told everyone to leave, and confronted him after. He swears nothing happened, but this isn’t the first time I’ve felt something off between them. Once before, they both disappeared at the same time and reappeared later, and my gut has been suspicious ever since.

Now I can’t shake the thought that he might actually be cheating. Am I just overthinking, or is this a huge red flag?
