The day I want to hear my husband's "thank you"
Making breakfast, sending the children off, and cleaning up the kitchen while turning the washing machine. When you are chased by such a natural housework, you may suddenly feel like "I'm doing my best all the time, but no one has noticed..." Especially on days when there is no word of "thank you" from my husband, small loneliness accumulates in my heart.
As married life gets longer, housework and childcare tend to become "natural" air.My husband may not have any ill will, but he may just think "I'm grateful, but it will be conveyed without words." However, I think it is the true intention of housewives to want "thank you" for each of them - when they make daily meals, when they struggle to think about menus, when they try to save even a little by staring at the household account book.
In the conversation with my mother-in-law, I laughed and said, "My husband has been quiet for a long time," but in my heart, I thought, "I am a human being. I want to be praised and appreciated." Whether you wake up early to make your child's lunch box or iron your husband's shirt, it sometimes becomes futile if it is just consumed naturally.
But recently, I noticed that gratitude does not reach the other person just by thinking. My husband is the same, and when I say thank you, he returns it unexpectedly. For example, if I tell you Gochisousama, it was delicious after dinner, Yeah, thank you may come out naturally from my husband s mouth. I felt that the conversation between the couple became softer by offering a small thank you from here.
It is not necessary to exaggerate gratitude to draw the future, so a family where a little "thank you" comes and goes in everyday life. Just saying "Thank you for your help" after washing and "Thank you for your hard work" after putting the child to bed makes the relationship between the couple feel much warmer.
After all, words of gratitude are like magic. Just speaking out, it slightly illuminates the other person's heart and lightens your feelings. That's why I want to be a wife who does not spare "thank you" from now on, and not only waiting for "thank you" from my husband, I want to create a relationship that can be drawn out naturally.
"Gratitude is a voice" ― ― That alone may change the atmosphere in your home.
