Staying strong for my babies
Being able to workout is a blessing. During my first pregnancy, I was put on bedrest twice, so I could only workout when I was allowed to, and when I did workout there wasn’t much that I could do. Post partum I worked HARD to lose weight but had surgery 3mo post partum which set me back. 4 months post partum I found out I was pregnant again and I said to myself “you’re gonna be strong for your kids.” So I have worked out every single month of this pregnancy and I have not gained a single pound yet. I’ve stayed the same weight for 4-5 months now, and I don’t feel as misters me this pregnancy. I understand some people cannot workout while pregnant, as I was in the same boat last year, but it’s also not easy to do it. #fyp #pregnancy #pregnant #gym #mama
Working out while pregnant truly takes discipline and determination. I remember how exhausting it felt at times—you don’t always see immediate progress or feel noticeably stronger each week, yet you push through because the long-term benefits are worth it. For me, staying active during pregnancy has not only helped maintain my physical health but also boosted my mental well-being. It’s important to listen to your body and consult healthcare professionals to develop a safe and effective workout plan that suits your pregnancy stage. Low-impact exercises like walking, swimming, and prenatal yoga have been great options on days when high-intensity workouts weren’t possible. Another vital aspect is consistency; even short 15-20 minute sessions make a difference over time. The key is focusing on gradual strength building without overexertion. Pregnancy is a unique journey for everyone, and progress may look different, but the dedication you put in now can pay off by improving endurance, easing labor, and speeding postpartum recovery. Additionally, I found that connecting with other moms sharing similar fitness goals helped keep me motivated and accountable. Support networks, whether online or in-person, provide encouragement during moments of doubt or fatigue. Remember, each pregnancy is different, and it’s perfectly okay to adapt your routine based on how you feel. The important thing is valuing your health and being strong for your little ones—whether that means working out regularly or resting when needed. My experience taught me that persistence, patience, and self-care go hand in hand to create a positive and empowering pregnancy journey.
