calling all boy moms!!!!!
my brother-in-law sent this book to my son for christmas and it quickly became a favorite in our house.
there is no place for toxic masculinity in this house, and i love a good book that helps reinforce what a REAL man is like: kind, compassionate, honest, inclusive, willing to fight for what is right, and true to himself.
i love all of scott stuart’s books and we own quite a few! (my shadow is pink is another favorite in our house)

In today's society, the definition of masculinity is evolving, and books like those by Scott Stuart are at the forefront of this change. His stories not only provide enjoyable reading experiences but also impart essential values that encourage boys to be kind and inclusive. This approach helps boys understand that being 'strong' goes beyond physical prowess; it also encompasses emotional strength and the courage to stand up for what is right. Books can play a crucial role in shaping young minds, promoting the idea that compassion and honesty are just as important as traditional masculine traits. These narratives often challenge outdated stereotypes around masculinity and highlight the importance of expressing emotions. For boy moms, selecting books that align with these values helps nurture empathetic future men. Parents can look for titles that inspire boys to embrace who they are while fostering connections with both peers and family. It's vital to create an environment where discussions about feelings and actions are encouraged, enabling boys to grow into well-rounded individuals who feel comfortable navigating their emotions. Additionally, engaging with like-minded communities and resources like @Lemon8Parenting can provide support and recommendations tailored to creating an inclusive upbringing. As boy moms, it's empowering to connect over shared experiences and explore educational materials that resonate with the vision of a new generation of men who are brave enough to uphold justice and kindness in their lives.

Are you kidding.. you’re gonna read a “how to be a real man” book to your kid that has a man in a pink ballet leotard?? This is a joke right.
