Living a creative life can be both rewarding and challenging, especially as a self-employed individual. Set in the beautiful landscape of Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA, my daily routine is filled with diverse activities that inspire both my personal and professional growth. My day often begins early, allowing me to have a balanced breakfast with family traditions—like enjoying meals on my grandparents' wedding china. It’s these moments that keep me grounded and inspired for the work ahead. As I check in with clients through platforms like Basecamp, I find a rhythm that combines productivity with the freedom of a flexible schedule. This year, one of my New Year’s resolutions includes taking regular breaks – for both physical health and mental wellness. Whether it’s a quick session of CrossFit or an afternoon of crafting with friends, these breaks are vital for fueling my creativity. On one memorable day, I also redesigned a client’s website live on TikTok – a fun way to blend work with interactive social media engagement. In addition to client projects, I find joy in personal hobbies like exploring new recipes and sharing experiences with friends, such as hosting dinner parties. This balance of work and personal time allows me to enjoy life and create meaningful content that resonates with others. Every day presents unique opportunities to learn and grow in my career.
