... Read moreOkay, while I'm waiting for my viral Milano Tanning Drops to arrive, I've been doing tons of research on how to get the absolute best results from sunless tanner drops – especially since so many of you are asking about 'directions' and 'utilisation'! I want my 'Tanning Drops Diaries' to be super successful, so I'm sharing my pre-series prep tips with you all. This is essentially my plan for using these types of drops, whether it's the Milano ones or other popular choices like Docteat drops. First things first: Preparation is EVERYTHING for a streak-free glow! A day before you plan to apply, make sure to exfoliate your skin thoroughly. I'm talking head-to-toe, focusing on rougher areas like elbows, knees, and ankles. This removes dead skin cells, giving you a smooth canvas for an even tan. After exfoliating, moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Pay extra attention to those dry spots, as tanning drops can cling to them and make them darker. I'll be using an oil-free moisturizer for this step. When it comes to application, the key is to mix the drops with your favorite body lotion or face cream. The amount of drops really depends on how deep you want your tan to be and the specific brand. For my Milano Drops, I'll start with 2-3 drops per body part (like an arm or leg) mixed into a dollop of lotion, blending really well before applying. For my face, I'll probably stick to 1-2 drops mixed with my nightly moisturizer. Always apply in circular motions, ensuring even coverage. Don't forget to blend down your neck! Hands and feet are tricky! My plan is to save them for last, using whatever minimal residue is left on my hands from applying to my body, or mixing just one tiny drop with a generous amount of lotion. I'll pay close attention to blending around my knuckles, wrists, and ankles to avoid those tell-tale lines. And for the love of glow, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water immediately after application to prevent orange palms! After applying, let your skin fully dry before dressing – I'm talking at least 10-15 minutes. Loose, dark clothing is your best friend during this initial period. I'll also avoid showering, sweating, or applying anything else to my skin for at least 6-8 hours to let the tan develop. Overnight application seems like the easiest way to go! To maintain your glow, moisturizing daily is crucial. This helps prolong the tan and ensures it fades evenly. If you want a deeper tan, you can reapply the drops every 2-3 days using the same method. I'm also planning to do a patch test on a small, inconspicuous area of my skin (like my inner arm) 24 hours before my first full application. This is super important to check for any skin reactions and to see how the color develops on my specific skin tone. Nobody wants an orange surprise! I hope these tips help you too, whether you're using Docteat drops, Milano drops, or any other sunless tanner. I can't wait to put these methods to the test in my upcoming 'Tanning Drops Diaries' and share my real-time results with you all!
