Yay or Nay???

I was excited about this since I saw a lot of people were hyping it up. Unfortunately it wasn't for me.

To me this just didn't feel like ice cream to me. It was really dense. The parts thatvwerent as dense had a spongey texture. The tasted great but I couldn't get past the texture.

I will say that at least it wasn't chalky or tasted anything like protein.

... Read moreAfter trying this high-protein chocolate ice cream myself, I found its texture quite different from traditional ice cream, which is typically creamy and smooth. The density made it feel more like a dessert bar than a scoop of ice cream, and some parts had a spongey consistency, which was unusual but interesting. If you are used to regular ice cream, this might take some getting used to. What I appreciated was that it lacked the common downside of other protein-packed treats – it wasn’t chalky or overly artificial in taste. This shows how manufacturers are improving protein desserts to appeal to broader audiences, focusing on flavor and mouthfeel. If you’re looking for a healthier alternative to satisfy your sweet tooth, specifically a dessert rich in complete protein (like the 30g per pint noted on the packaging), this could be a good try. Just be prepared that texture-wise, it won't match traditional ice cream. From my experience, this product works best for those focused on nutrition and protein intake rather than those seeking a classic ice cream experience. Additionally, flavors like Mint Chip and Chocolate are popular among these high-protein dessert options, offering variety for different palates. This insight might help you decide whether to give it a try or pass it by based on your texture preferences and dietary goals.
