積丹町は北海道でも特に海鮮料理が有名な地域で、春から初夏にかけては特に新鮮な海産物が豊富に揃います。今回訪れた漁師の宿『新生』の7色丼は、一日限定20食の希少なメニューがあり、ウニの増量タイプも用意されているため、ウニ好きにはたまらないセットです。 お店は予約不要で、駐車場も約40台分と広く、車でのアクセスも便利です。積丹ブルーと呼ばれる美しい海を見ながらドライブし、強風の中でも神威岬を散策するのも一興。海の色の見事な青さは、積丹ならではの絶景として多くの観光客を魅了しています。 実際に食べてみると、ウニの甘みが口の中でとろけ、エビはぷりぷりとした食感が楽しめます。さらに、地元美国（びくに）産の海藻は歯ごたえが良く、味噌汁や小鉢も地元の味をしっかり感じられる逸品。少し値は張りますが、ボリューム満点で満足度は非常に高いです。 積丹の海鮮丼は、普段スーパーなどで味わうものとは別格の鮮度と旨味が楽しめるため、北海道旅行の際はぜひ足を伸ばして訪ねてみてください。海産物の宝石箱のような一皿を通じて、北海道の海の恵みを感じられるでしょう。
