Cedar creek is a 6 mile in and out hike, starting relatively easy at a decline, no shade so remember to wear sun screen and save your water for your way back up! There’s several signs on trail that will tell you if you do not have enough water to please turn back and trust me do NOT take the signs LIGHTLY ! You will definitely be needing a lot of water for your way back up.
The waterfall was full and ice cold, there’s various signs to not jump into water from cliffs and the moment I walked into the water I realized why. The water will send your body into shock due to how low temperatures are. If you love ice baths this is definitely the trail for you, I came out of water freezing and skin bright red due to cold but extremely relaxed and full of energy.
I recommend going before summer starts due to a lot of people not making it out of the mountain when temperature goes up , it has a history of helicopter rescues during the months of May- August do not ignore the warning signs !
