Are we still into Twilight?✨

Oh my gosh, fellow Twihards, if you've ever dreamed of stepping into Bella and Edward's world, you absolutely have to plan a Pacific Northwest road trip! I just got back from an incredible journey tracing some of the most iconic Twilight filming and inspiration locations, and it was everything I hoped for and more. Forget just re-reading the books or re-watching the movies – seeing these places in person brings the saga to life in a whole new way. First up on my adventure was what we all know as Forks High School, but in reality, the filming location for the exterior shots was actually Kalama High School in Kalama, Washington. It's a charming brick school building that perfectly captured that small-town high school vibe we remember from the films. Standing there, I could almost picture Bella pulling up in her beat-up truck or seeing Edward leaning against a tree. It’s a super easy stop right off the highway, and while you can't go inside (it's a real school!), it's definitely worth a photo op from the street. Just remember to be respectful of the students and staff! Next, a highlight for any true fan: the legendary Cullen House! The actual residence used for filming the exterior of the Cullens' modern, glass-filled home is located at 3333 NW Quimby Street in Portland, Oregon. This place is stunning – even more so in person! It's a private residence, so please, please be respectful of the owners. I just drove by slowly, took a few discreet photos from the car, and soaked in the view. You can totally see why this unique architecture, a modern house with large windows and wooden siding, was chosen for the immortal, sophisticated Cullen family. The large windows and wooden siding are just as striking as they appear on screen. It truly feels like a piece of movie magic in real life. And let's not forget Bella's humble abode! The cozy Swan House from the early films can be found in St. Helens, Oregon. This traditional white house with its welcoming porch and brick chimney instantly transported me back to Bella's first days in Forks. It’s another private property, but it’s quite visible from the street, offering a fantastic photo opportunity. Imagining Bella staring out her window or Charlie cooking dinner in there was just so surreal. St. Helens itself has a really cute, small-town feel, similar to what you'd imagine Forks to be like, making it a perfect stop. Beyond these specific spots, the entire drive through Oregon and Washington just screams 'Twilight.' The lush green forests, the frequent rain, the mystical fog – it's the perfect backdrop for vampires and werewolves. My top tip for this road trip is to embrace the PNW weather; pack layers, a good raincoat, and sturdy shoes. And don't rush! Take your time to enjoy the scenery between locations. This was more than just seeing filming spots; it was experiencing the atmosphere that made Twilight so magical. If you're a fan, this road trip is a must-do – it reignited my love for the saga all over again!
