... Read moreOkay, so after my initial post, I've had so many of you asking for more details about running Inzoi on the Steam Deck, especially if it's a good alternative for those of us who love life-sims like The Sims 4! I totally get it – we're always looking for that next immersive experience, and honestly, Inzoi is really delivering on the go. First off, getting Inzoi set up on my Steam Deck was surprisingly smooth. You're probably wondering about compatibility and performance, right? I just downloaded the demo directly through Steam (after ensuring Proton was enabled for better Windows game compatibility on SteamOS, which is usually a good practice for non-native titles). The download progress was standard, but seeing 'Inzoi Character Studio' load up flawlessly on that portable screen? Pure joy! My setup on a pink fluffy surface, as you might have seen in my previous snap, just made the whole experience feel extra cozy. Now, let's talk gameplay. For those of you deep into The Sims 4 and constantly searching for "sims 4 mods for better gameplay" or "good gameplay mods sims 4" to enhance your experience, Inzoi offers a really refreshing take. While it's still in development, the level of character customization in the 'Inzoi Character Studio' is already incredible – the details are just next-level. I found myself lost for ages just perfecting my first character! This could definitely appeal to players who crave more realism and depth in their character creation beyond what Sims 4 currently offers without mods. The graphics are stunning, and the world feels vibrant, making it a truly immersive experience even on a smaller screen. Performance-wise, I was genuinely shocked. The game ran consistently at a smooth frame rate, even during character creation with all its intricate details. I haven't messed with too many settings yet, but out of the box, it's very playable. For anyone concerned about "steam deck steamos" optimization, it seems to handle Inzoi beautifully without needing a ton of tweaks. Battery life was decent too for a game this graphically rich, but I'd still recommend having a charger handy for longer sessions, especially if you're like me and lose track of time in these games! If you're a Sims player looking for something new, something that pushes the boundaries of life simulation, or just want to try out a powerful new game on your Steam Deck, I seriously can't recommend downloading the Inzoi demo enough. It's a fantastic glimpse into what's coming, and it performs like a dream on the go. Forget waiting for external mods to fix your gameplay; Inzoi already feels quite polished and offers a unique experience right from the start. Give it a try and let me know your thoughts!
