Stop Treating These Like the Same Type of Trip
What people don’t always say about non all-inclusive trips is how much energy they actually require.
Not money — energy.
Deciding where to eat multiple times a day
Coordinating with other people
Figuring out how to get around
Adjusting when plans fall through
That constant decision-making starts to feel like work.
That’s why I don’t look at this as “better vs worse” anymore.
It’s about what kind of experience I want.
Sometimes I want to explore, move around, and figure things out as I go. Other times I want everything handled so I can actually decompress.
Both have their place, but they are not the same type of trip.

Do you actually want flexibility… or do you want ease?
