Bali isn’t the problem. Planning the entire trip from social media might be.

A lot of the experiences you see online are created with the photo in mind. They can still be beautiful and worth doing, but too many can make the trip feel more staged than expected.

My advice is to choose a few iconic moments, then balance them with local food, cooking classes, villages and time with a guide.

Bali is worth experiencing. Just make sure your itinerary includes more than the moments already filling your feed.
