Can you believe it’s already February?
I feel like January absolutely flew by! I’m ready to tackle the new month but first I want to reflect on this past month. This digital planner page has been super helpful for that reflection as it guides me through step by step the things that went well and the things that went not so well. It helps me stay on top of my goals and realign my priorities if I need to!
My highlights of January are that we finally got some snow and I finally got my room painted! What about you?

Wow, January already feels like a distant memory, but taking the time for a monthly reflection is something I've found incredibly helpful. It’s not just about listing tasks; it's a powerful way to truly understand your progress and set yourself up for an even better next month. For anyone wondering how to start or make their monthly reflection more impactful, let me share what I've learned! First, why bother with a monthly reflection? I used to just rush from one month to the next, but I realized I was missing out on valuable insights. Taking a moment to pause and review helps me celebrate small wins, learn from challenges, and adjust my path. It’s like hitting a reset button for your mind and goals. It also fosters a sense of gratitude, which is so important. When it comes to the actual reflection process, my digital planner has become my best friend. It breaks down the review into manageable sections, much like what you might see in a good "monthly reflection planner." I always start with 'MY TOP YAY' – what were the absolute highlight moments? For me this January, it was finally getting some snow and seeing my room painted, which was a huge relief! Celebrating these 'yays' boosts my motivation. Next, I move to 'WHAT I CAN DO TO IMPROVE'. This isn't about dwelling on failures, but rather about honest self-assessment. Maybe I procrastinated on a task, or didn't make enough time for a hobby. Identifying these areas in a positive light helps me create actionable steps for the upcoming month. Then, I dedicate a section to 'I'M GRATEFUL FOR'. It could be anything from a warm cup of coffee to a supportive friend. This part really shifts my perspective and reminds me of all the good things. Finally, I put down my 'OVERALL THOUGHTS ON THIS MONTH'. This summarizes my feelings and takeaways. Throughout this process, I ask myself questions like, 'What was your top "YAY" of the month?' or 'Did I stay true to my core values?' This structured approach prevents me from feeling overwhelmed and ensures I cover all bases. If you're thinking about starting your own monthly reflection, whether with a digital tool or a physical journal, here are a few extra tips I've picked up: Set aside dedicated time: Treat it like an important appointment. Be honest with yourself: This is for your growth, not for judgment. Don't forget the positive: It’s easy to focus on what went wrong, but celebrating successes is crucial. Connect it to your goals: How did this month's actions align with your bigger picture? Keep it simple: You don't need a fancy planner to start; a blank page works! Embracing monthly reflection has genuinely helped me feel more in control and intentional about my life. I highly recommend giving it a try!

My top yay for February would have to be our daughter’s first birthday! It lands on the Super Bowl this year! Which I think is a ton of fun, last year she watched it at two days old. (Mostly slept through it🥰)
