Have you heard of adding aloe to your drinks?

Have you heard of this trend?? I know it sounds a little crazy and I thought it sounded a little gross at first… but I did some research and saw this coconut flavor at the grocery store so I figured I would try it

I think this became popular with the whole #watertok trend, and this has actually helped me a lot with my water goals for 2025! So I decided to add the aloe in with my drink mixes and some other supplements that I take.

Here’s me thoughts…

•I didn’t really notice any significant differences in my health

•It didn’t give much flavor to the drink which I was worried about

•My aloe has little gel flakes in it and they gross me out (don’t taste bad but a reminder that I’m drinking aloe😂). So on my second go I strained these out first

•When I tried 2 tbsp instead of one it gave me a really small tummy ache

So in the end I will probably finish this bottle that I bought but I don’t think I will be buying any more.

* Let me know if you have tried it and what your experience has been! *

... Read moreHey everyone! So, you might have seen me share my initial experience with adding aloe vera to my drinks. While my first dive into the #watertok trend didn't exactly yield miracle results for me, I know a lot of you are curious about the potential benefits of drinking aloe vera, especially for hydration and digestive health. And honestly, there's a lot of buzz around it for good reason! Many people swear by aloe vera for its amazing properties. For starters, it’s often praised as a fantastic way to boost hydration. If you struggle to drink enough plain water, adding a little something extra, like aloe vera juice, can make it more palatable and help you reach those water goals. Think of it as a refreshing, nutrient-rich plant-based drink for daily wellness. Then there's the big one: digestive health. I've read so much about how aloe vera can be soothing for the gut, potentially acting as a mild laxative and even supporting a healthy gut microbiome. Some research even points to benefits for conditions like IBS. This is often why you see queries for 'aloe vera digestive health benefits' or 'aloe vera detox drink with lemon.' It's believed to help cleanse the system and keep things moving smoothly. Beyond digestion, there are claims about skin benefits – the OCR even mentioned a screenshot highlighting 'benefits for skin.' While I didn't personally see a glow-up from drinking it, many users report clearer, more hydrated skin by incorporating aloe vera internally. It’s also often associated with immune support, making it a popular choice for overall wellness. Now, if you're thinking of trying it, here are some tips based on what I've learned and what's out there. First, make sure you choose a good quality, food-grade aloe vera juice. Look for products that are pure, preferably organic, and don't have a ton of added sugars. Brands often come in 'original flavor' and larger '32 fl oz bottles,' sometimes even in '2 pack' options, marketed as a 'natural aloe gel beverage.' My biggest hurdle was the texture – those little gel flakes! If you're like me and find them a bit off-putting, a simple fix is to blend your aloe juice into a smoothie or even strain it through a fine-mesh sieve before adding it to your drink. To improve the taste, mixing it with things like 'aloe lemon water' is a classic. You can also add it to your favorite fruit juice, iced tea, or even your daily protein shake. I've seen people mix it with creatine and other drink powders, just like in the picture I shared! Remember, everyone's body reacts differently. While I didn't have a transformative experience, that doesn't mean you won't. Start with a small amount, maybe just a tablespoon or two, and see how you feel. Listen to your body, and if you have any underlying health conditions, it's always a good idea to chat with a doctor before adding new supplements to your routine. Happy experimenting, and let me know if you discover your own amazing aloe concoctions!
