In sessions we train strength not just stretch #scapularstability
In my experience, many people mistakenly believe that shoulder tightness is the root cause of their discomfort or limited mobility. However, through consistent training, I've realized that the real issue often lies in a weak scapula, which plays a critical role in shoulder stability and overall upper body function. Strengthening the scapula involves exercises that target the muscles around the shoulder blade, such as the serratus anterior, trapezius, and rhomboids. This approach goes beyond traditional stretching routines and helps build a solid foundation for shoulder health. For example, scapular push-ups, wall slides, and resistance band rows have been especially effective in my training sessions, helping improve control and stability. I also found that focusing on scapular stability reduces the risk of shoulder injuries, especially in activities involving repetitive overhead movements or heavy lifting. By training strength, not just stretching, you cultivate better posture and muscle balance, which contributes to enhanced performance and pain prevention. Remember, if you notice discomfort or limitation in your shoulders, don’t just stretch more. Evaluate the strength and stability of your scapula and incorporate strength-based exercises that reinforce these muscles. Consistent practice can transform your shoulder function and overall comfort.
