Me my bestie and lil sis definitely decided to take a vacation with no kids or husbands and I must sayyyy we deserved it! As women we wear multiple hats for the sake of our family! We cook work clean kiss boo boos run a household and we always add our own needs to the bottom of the list! We deserve time to reset and relax without being judged or called selfish! Ofc we missed our family and this was our first mother’s day away but darn it did we have a TIMEEEEE! San Antonio, Tx was absolutely beautiful we ate at some impressive restaurants and food trucks! We went Go cart racing Golf at Top Golf and many other things! I encourage us all to take quality time out for ourselves Momma needs a vacay from time to time🫶🏾

After my amazing mother's day girls trip to San Antonio, I realized just how essential these 'no kids, no husband' vacations are for us moms! We pour so much into our families, often forgetting to refill our own cups. If you're looking for mothers day trip ideas, let me share some insights from my experience that might help you plan your own perfect getaway. First, acknowledge that you deserve this. It’s not selfish; it’s self-preservation. Think of it as hitting the reset button. The "mother's day Girls Trip" isn't just a fun time; it's a vital mental health break. The key is to plan ahead! When we decided on our San Antonio vacation, the first step was choosing companions. My bestie and lil sis were perfect because we all needed that shared understanding of mom life. Consider who truly helps you relax and be yourself. Next, discuss your budget honestly. Not everyone can splurge, but there are fantastic options for every price point – from a cozy cabin retreat to an all-inclusive resort. Splitting costs for accommodation, food, and activities makes it much more achievable. One of the biggest hurdles is often childcare. For our mother's day trip, we coordinated with our partners well in advance, making sure they were comfortable taking over solo. Communicate your needs clearly and explain the benefits for everyone – a happier, recharged mom is a better mom! Don't forget to prepare a detailed schedule or emergency contacts for those at home, so you can truly unwind without worry. Beyond the go-karting and Top Golf we enjoyed, there are endless mothers day trip ideas to explore. Maybe a serene spa weekend, a rustic glamping adventure, a wine-tasting tour, or even just a quiet beach vacation where you can read uninterrupted. The goal is to do things you enjoy, not what others expect. Packing for a girls' trip is also different! Ditch the kid-centric gear and pack only for yourself. Think comfy clothes for exploring, a nice outfit for dinner, a good book, and maybe some face masks for a pamper night. It’s about reclaiming those small luxuries. Embrace the freedom. We often feel guilty leaving our families, especially on Mother's Day. But trust me, coming back refreshed and energized is the best gift you can give them. My San Antonio vacation was a reminder that prioritizing my well-being makes me a more present and patient mother. So, start brainstorming your own ultimate mother's day girls trip – you absolutely earned it!
