🌸Lotus Flower Bomb🌸 💣

she don’t just bloom… she erupts.

i rose from mud like a melody,

hips swayin’ in rhythm with the rain,

ain’t no silver spoon in my story,

just gold spun from my pain.

they tried to bury me quiet—

but forgot I carry thunder in my chest,

baby, I don’t break,

I bend the world and call it rest.

skin kissed by sun,

voice laced in honey and heat,

I’m the bloom and the boom,

the poem and the beat.

they call me delicate,

but sis, I’m divine.

sippin’ peace with a side of pressure,

spirit wrapped in shine.

nails long like my prayers,

edges laid like a plan,

every strut a sermon,

every glance — a command.

this ain’t just glow — it’s gospel.

this ain’t just grace — it’s grit.

lotus in my spirit,

bomb in my spit.

so when you see me,

know I ain’t just pretty — I’m proof.

of soft girls surviving,

and setting fire to the truth.

... Read moreYou know, when I first started writing this poem, the phrase “Lotus Flower Bomb” just resonated with me so deeply. I know many of us associate it with Wale's iconic song, and there’s definitely a vibe to it that captures a certain kind of powerful allure. But for me, it transformed into something even more personal – a metaphor for the incredible strength we carry within, especially as women who rise from challenging circumstances. Think about the lotus flower itself. It’s absolutely mesmerizing, isn't it? It grows in muddy waters, yet emerges pristine and beautiful, untouched by its surroundings. That’s such a powerful symbol of purity, rebirth, and resilience. It reminds us that no matter what 'mud' we come from – whether it’s past hurts, societal expectations, or personal struggles – we have the inherent ability to bloom into something magnificent. It’s about not just surviving, but thriving, and letting our true essence shine through. Now, add the 'bomb' to that. It might sound intense, but for me, it's not about destruction. It’s about impact, an explosion of self-worth, and unleashing your inner power. It’s that moment when you realize you're not just delicate, but *divine*. You're not just pretty, but proof – proof of soft girls surviving and setting fire to the truth, as my poem says. It’s the confidence to let your voice be heard, to command attention, and to radiate an energy that’s unmistakably yours. I often visualize this feeling, perhaps like a vibrant, neon-style illustration – a large purple and pink hibiscus flower bursting with life, framed by a dark, starry background. And then, a dark-skinned hand, adorned with hot pink nails, gold rings, and bracelets, reaching out, embodying that unapologetic power. It's a visual representation of owning your unique beauty and formidable spirit. This 'Lotus Flower Bomb' energy is about embracing your grit and your grace. It's about every strut being a sermon, every glance a command. It’s knowing that you sip peace with a side of pressure, and your spirit is truly wrapped in shine. It’s discovering that you don’t just bloom, you erupt – transforming pain into gold. It’s about recognizing that you carry thunder in your chest and bend the world to your rest. So, if you’ve ever felt like you’re underestimated, or if you’re searching for that spark to ignite your own journey of empowerment, I hope this poem and this idea of being a 'Lotus Flower Bomb' resonates with you. It’s an invitation to recognize your own resilience, your unparalleled beauty, and the thunder you carry within. Let your own powerful melody rise from the mud, and show the world the magnificent bomb that you truly are. You are proof of undeniable strength and beauty, just waiting to burst forth.
