Hey Lemon8 fam! So glad you stopped by my page to get to know me a little better. As I mentioned in my first post, I'm Darci, a 23-year-old navigating life as a mom, a college student at Georgia State University, and a big fan of finding calm in chaos through journaling and reading. When I say this page is for 'everyday life and my thoughts,' I truly mean it – I want to share the real, unfiltered journey with you all. Being a mom to my little one while pursuing my degree at GSU is definitely a balancing act! Some days feel like a whirlwind of lectures, diaper changes, and late-night study sessions. I've learned so much about time management (or at least, attempting it!) and the incredible resilience a parent builds. For any other student-moms out there, know you're not alone! I often find myself planning my week down to the hour, trying to squeeze in quality time with my child, keep up with assignments, and still carve out those precious moments for myself. It's tough, but seeing my child grow and knowing I'm building a better future for us both keeps me motivated. My journey at Georgia State has been incredibly enriching. I'm currently studying Early Childhood Education because I'm passionate about understanding child development and fostering positive learning environments. The campus life, even with my busy schedule, offers so many learning opportunities beyond textbooks. I'm always looking for ways to apply what I learn to my daily life, whether it's understanding child development or managing my personal finances. And for those quiet moments amidst the hustle? That's where my love for journaling and reading truly shines. My journal isn't just a diary; it's a confidant, a space for reflection, and a tool for setting intentions.
