30 Day Doodle Challenge: Day 5
Day 5: Ice creams🍦
I made two versions simply because I wasn't sure if the shiny one was too shiny or not. I personally prefer the more muted one since it looks closer to ice cream, but maybe I'm wrong. I mean you can alwyas say rhe shiny one is the melting one. It's up to interpretation at this point. It took 2 hours and 11 mins, mainly because I wasn't sure how to do the background and also for doing the ice cream scoops over again. 🍨
Hey doodle buddies! Seeing my Day 5 Ice Cream doodle today probably sparked some ideas, or maybe you're thinking about starting your own creative journey. The 30-day doodle challenge is such a fantastic way to boost your skills and push your creativity. I remember when I first started looking for 'doodle challenge ideas' and '30 day drawing challenge prompts,' it felt a little overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be! If you're eager to jump into a '30 day drawing challenge list' of your own, there are tons of resources out there. A great starting point is simply searching online for 'doodle a day prompts' or 'drawing challenge prompts.' You'll find countless lists shared by artists and communities. Sometimes, these lists focus on specific themes, like nature, fantasy creatures, or even daily objects, just like my ice cream theme for Day 5! Don't be afraid to mix and match prompts from different lists to create a challenge that truly excites you. For those who love character design, exploring 'OC drawing prompts' can be incredibly rewarding. Original Character (OC) challenges often provide a framework to develop unique personalities and backstories through daily art. Even if you're not into characters, you can adapt the idea of a '30 day design challenge' to focus on anything from logos to abstract patterns. The key is consistent practice. What if you can't find a list that perfectly suits you? That's where you get to be truly creative! You can generate your own 'doodle challenge ideas.' Think about categories you enjoy: food, animals, places, emotions, or even specific colors. Write down 30 different 'doodle themes' – one for each day. For example, my ice cream doodle was inspired directly by the challenge list I'm following. This personal touch makes the challenge even more engaging. Staying motivated for a full 30 days can be tough, especially with a 'doodle a day prompts' schedule. Here are a few tips I've picked up: Set a Realistic Time Limit: Some days, like my ice cream doodle that took over two hours, you might have more time. Other days, a quick 15-minute sketch is perfectly fine. The goal is consistency, not perfection every single time. Don't Overthink It: If a prompt feels difficult, just start. Sometimes the best ideas emerge during the process. Share Your Progress: Post your doodles online! Getting feedback and encouragement from others can be a huge motivator. It also holds you accountable. Embrace Imperfection: Not every doodle will be a masterpiece. That's okay! It's about the journey and the growth. Keep a Dedicated Sketchbook/Folder: Seeing all your daily doodles together at the end of the month is incredibly satisfying and shows your progress through the '30 day drawing prompts.' Remember, a '30 day drawing challenge' isn't just about the final art piece; it's about building a habit, experimenting with new techniques, and discovering what you love to draw. So, whether you're looking for existing 'doodle challenge ideas' or crafting your own '30 day drawing challenge list,' just pick up your pen (or stylus!) and start creating. You'll be amazed at what you can achieve!
