Don’t waste your time with Etsy

Most sellers start backwards.

They make a design first…

then try to figure out how to sell it later.

A better workflow is:

1. Start with Everbee

Search products before you design anything.

Look for:

• repeated keywords

• consistent sales

• products with reviews

• niches with demand year-round

That gives you direction before you waste time designing random stuff.

2. Then make the design

Based on the niche you researched.

A lot of sellers make what THEY like instead of what buyers are already searching for.

3. Then create the mockups

This part matters way more on Etsy than people realize.

Your listing photo is usually the first thing buyers judge.

I use Mocksy here because manually making realistic mockups takes forever otherwise.

4. Then write SEO

Use keywords pulled from real listings and real search behavior.

Don’t overcomplicate it.

If buyers are typing:

• dog mom sweatshirt

• western hoodie

• coquette shirt

then those phrases need to actually appear in your listing.

5. THEN publish the product

Most people rush to post listings fast.

The shops that usually grow faster spend more time on:

• research

• positioning

• thumbnails

• presentation

before they ever hit publish.
