Things God taught me recently
So to add a little context. This Monday or last Friday I placed the biggest order with Amazon that I’ve ever placed in the history of my Amazon ordering. I bought a new scale to replace my over 1 year old one that is not anywhere close to accurate and only stresses me out, some new shampoo and conditioner, and an off brand Apple Pencil to try out digital journaling with my new to me iPad mini 5. As a prime member, Amazon said my order would be delivered by today. So let’s look at
lesson # 1 (God’s timing is perfect)
By Wednesday my order still hadn’t shipped so I kept thinking, “they are cutting it pretty close expecting it to be delivered by Friday and they haven’t even shipped it yet.” Amazon finally shipped it yesterday so I was pretty skeptical about it being delivered today. As I type this it is being prepared for delivery. So even though I thought I knew everything about shipping times, God still proved that His timing is better than my own. And now on to
Lesson # 2 expectations are meant to be challenged. As humans we may have our own expectations usually based in previous experiences and those are meant to be challenged mainly because we don’t know everything even when we think we do. God still knows so much better than we do and He definitely sees better and differently than we do.
Honestly, all of this boils down to trust which God has been working with me one-on-one recently. Trauma tends to make trusting God very difficult but I’m trying and God knows it and is patiently working with me through it. What are some things God has taught you with unexpected things? I would truly love to know. Please tell me without fear of judgment
In our busy lives, we often find ourselves burdened by expectations, relying on past experiences to dictate our future outlook. I recently learned that God's teachings often come through unexpected situations, as illustrated by my experience with a delayed Amazon order. This highlighted two crucial lessons: the perfection of God's timing and the importance of challenging our expectations. God’s timing is a reminder that we do not control every aspect of our lives; it teaches us patience and fosters trust. As I awaited my delivery, I realized that the delays encouraged me to trust in a greater plan. In addition, recognizing that our human expectations can be too limiting is essential. God sees the bigger picture and knows what is best for us, which may differ from our plans. Trauma can hinder our ability to trust, yet through such challenges, we can discover deeper faith and resilience. Sharing these lessons can help others reflect on their own unexpected experiences with God and grow in understanding.

Amen! The struggle is real. I’m a living witness. Thank You for posting this. It made me stop and think. God Bless One Love!
