記念日や誕生日で箱根を選ぶとき、私が一番悩んだのが「ディナーがちゃんと特別感あるか」と「翌朝まで気分よく過ごせるか」でした。箱根リトリート fore（フォーレ）は、その2つが想像以上に強かったです。 まず“箱根 ディナー 誕生日”目線でいうと、レストランのコースは「ただ美味しい」だけじゃなく、旅先の高揚感が続く構成。ワインなどドリンクの選択肢も多くて、ペアリングっぽく楽しめるのが嬉しかったです。誕生日なら、予約時に一言伝えておくと安心（当日はスタッフさんの動きも丁寧で、落ち着いてお祝いできました）。 次に“箱根リトリート 朝食”について。朝ごはんってホテルの印象を決めるな…と毎回思うのですが、ここは「朝からちゃんと美味しいものを食べた」満足感が残ります。前夜にしっかりディナーを楽しんでいても、朝が軽すぎないので、チェックアウトまでの時間が充実しました。初めて行くなら2食付きにして、ホテル滞在をメインイベントにするのがおすすめです。 温泉は、観光で冷えた体が一気にほぐれるタイプ。仙石原は季節によって体感温度が変わるので、雪や寒い時期は特にありがたさが増します。逆に新緑の時期は、部屋の“大きな窓からの絶景”が映えて、同じ場所でも雰囲気が変わりそう。 アクセス面は「俵石ガラスの森美術館」バス停から徒歩圏内なので、車がなくても行けるのが助かりました。荷物が多い記念日旅行は、移動がラクだと気持ちにも余裕が出ます。 ちなみに他の箱根宿も気になって比較したのですが、派手さより“自然に囲まれて静かに過ごす”方向が好きなら、フォーレの空気感はかなり刺さると思います。誕生日・記念日で「写真映え」「食事」「温泉」「のんびり」を全部欲張りたい人に合うホテルでした。
