How My Life Changed in 2024 ✨
Let this be your sign that things don’t work out the way you think they will… they happen the way they’re supposed to happen and that might not be on your timeline. I was rejected from every internship I applied to in 2024, but instead I’ve gotten to start my own non profit, travel, speak and share my story, make ugc content, spend time with loved ones, and make an impact in the lives of other young adults with cancer. Once you lean into your true calling… life does something magical. I am so blessed and thankful every day of my life.

In 2024, many young adults faced challenges, especially those navigating career uncertainties post-college. My experience resonated deeply with others who have encountered similar rejections. Instead of feeling defeated, I found purpose in launching a nonprofit, Mission Mariposa, dedicated to supporting cancer patients by providing care packages and nurturing connections. This journey has been replete with opportunities to speak about adolescent cancer care, sharing insights from my personal experiences as a survivor. Engaging in mentorship through projects like PINK with Purpose has enriched my understanding and fortified my commitment to helping others. My focus on creating user-generated content (UGC) for brands such as the Patient Support Foundation has allowed me to marry creativity with philanthropy, helping raise awareness about critical issues in cancer care. This blend of social impact and personal storytelling provides an authentic platform for others to share their journeys while fostering resilience among peers. Moreover, with the flexibility of my new lifestyle, I prioritize travel, spending quality time with loved ones, and connecting with fellow survivors. This newfound adaptability enables me to immerse myself in varied experiences, enhancing both my personal growth and my outreach efforts. Ultimately, I have discovered that when one door closes, it's an invitation to explore what lies beyond. This transformative mindset, centered on growth and gratitude, empowers us to redefine success, tailor our journeys, and inspire those around us. Let's embrace the serendipity in our paths, no matter how unexpected they may seem.
