crochet projects i want to make someday!
alright so #storytime i have really bad ADHD and am terrible at finishing projects. the only crochet projects i’ve ever finished were a couple hats, a little wall hanging tapestry for my room, and two shirts. does anyone have any advice on how to finish projects you’ve started? because i just seem to keep piling up ideas without actually starting any of them 😭

As a crocheter, it can be overwhelming to decide which projects to tackle next, especially with a vast yarn collection at hand. For individuals with ADHD, crafting can pose unique challenges, such as focusing on one project at a time and completing it before moving on to the next. Here are a few suggestions to help you manage your crochet plans: 1. **Start Small**: Choose simple patterns that can be finished in a shorter time for an instant sense of accomplishment. Projects like a daisy blanket or a small tapestry tote are great starter options. 2. **Plan Your Projects**: Create a project calendar where you set aside dedicated time for each idea you’re excited about. This way, you can allocate time for your weaving creations without the pressure of managing multiple unfinished works. 3. **Join a Community**: Engage with fellow crocheters who share similar interests or challenges, such as ADHD. Online communities and forums provide motivation, support, and ideas to keep you engaged. 4. **Creative Storage Solutions**: Organize your yarn and projects visibly. This way, you'll be inspired by what you have and less likely to forget about them. 5. **Document Progress**: Keep a crochet diary or a social media account where you can share your journey. This not only holds you accountable but also allows you to look back on what you’ve achieved, pushing you towards finishing your projects. Most importantly, enjoy your crafting experience. Each stitch is a step towards creativity, no matter the project size!
