Top 3 Shows For Littles - from a mom of 3 under 3

I try to avoid screen time as much as possible but there are some days when we need to turn it on just to survive. 🙃 But here are my kids top 3 shows from a mom of 3 under 3!

1st Up: Miss Rachel

If you haven't introduced your child to Miss Rachel yet, you should! (unless you just don't do screen time at all) Miss Rachel is the most educational tv show that my kids LOVE. They have learned so much from watching it.

2. Listener Kids - this faith-based music kids show is perfect for your kiddos! From fun animation to fun music, your kiddos will be singing their hearts out. My kids also love listening to the songs while in the car on a music streaming service.

3. Blippi - I love that Blippi travels to different places in the US to show kids different experiences. He even went to an indoor amusement park and that's my kids favorite blippi episode!

First, Miss Rachel. While I touched on her educational aspect, it's truly remarkable how much my kids have absorbed. Beyond just learning words and basic concepts, she focuses heavily on speech development and social-emotional skills. She uses clear, repetitive language, sign language, and warm interactions that encourage kids to participate. We often sing along to songs like "The Wheels on the Bus" with her, and I've noticed a significant jump in my youngest's vocabulary since we started watching. It’s not just about passively consuming content; she actively invites interaction, making learning feel organic and fun. For parents looking to support early childhood development, Miss Rachel is an absolute gem. Next, Listener Kids, which has been a wonderful discovery for us. Many parents search for "Listener Kids app," hoping for a dedicated platform. While there isn't a specific app for their videos, their incredible content is readily available on YouTube and their music can be found on most major music streaming services. This makes it super easy to integrate their uplifting tunes into our daily routine, whether it's during playtime or even quiet time in the car. What makes Listener Kids stand out is their ability to weave faith-based messages into catchy, animated songs that kids genuinely adore. My children, for instance, get incredibly excited when they hear the opening notes of "I've Got A River Of Life." This particular song is so vibrant and energetic, it's impossible not to tap your feet or sing along. It teaches a beautiful, positive message in such an engaging way. Their animation is always bright and cheerful, and the lyrics are simple enough for even the youngest toddlers to grasp. Beyond "I've Got A River Of Life," we also love their songs about kindness, bravery, and gratitude. They truly provide wholesome entertainment that nourishes young minds and spirits. Finally, Blippi! My kids are obsessed with the "Blippi kids show," and I can see why. His energetic personality and vibrant orange and blue outfit are instantly recognizable and captivating for toddlers. While some parents might find his style a bit over-the-top, there's no denying his educational impact. Blippi takes children on adventures to real-world locations, from a fire station to a children's museum, and yes, even to an "Indoor Playground" – which, as I mentioned, is a huge hit in our house! He explains how things work, introduces new vocabulary, and encourages curiosity about the world around them. My kids are always asking questions after watching him explore a new place, which is fantastic. He turns learning about vehicles, animals, jobs, and science into an exciting exploration. It’s not just about entertainment; it’s about opening up a window to new experiences and sparking a desire to learn. Finding the right balance with screen time is always a juggle, but having a curated list of shows like these that are both entertaining and enriching makes it so much easier. They truly help us navigate the wonderful, chaotic world of toddlerhood.
