I wasn’t a believer of old wives tales . but my pregnancy kind of brought me on board . I did a questionnaire for old wives tales to predict the gender of my baby and sure enough the results were accurate 😂💙
so once I found out they have old wives tales for inducing labor I thought to my self it wouldn’t hurt to give it a go .
some of the gender based old wives tales consisted of :
❤️-If the fetal heart rate is under 140 beats per minute (BPM), it's a boy.
❤️-Extra weight out front means a girl; weight around the hips and bottom indicates a boy.
❤️-If a woman's carrying low, it's a boy; if she's carrying high, it's a girl.
❤️-Dark nipples indicate a boy.
and the list goes on they even have some for toddlers lol !
Some old wives tales I took interest in about inducing my labor with my son were
📝-eating spicy foods some pregnant women believe that the intestinal activity from eating spicy foods can nudge the uterus.for me this wasn’t a problem because my main cravings was spicy food 😂.

📝-Red raspberry leaf tea This tea may increase uterine tone, which could help the uterus contract more effectively during labor. As I started drinking this closer to the time it wasn’t really kick starting active labor but I did knock on my Braxton hicks

📝-curbside walking .. this might help induce labor by "encouraging gravity to bring the baby lower into the pelvis I just put one foot on the road and one on the curb and did this up and down the street for like 15 min.

📝-okra water I hate to say it but this was my best friend! I hated the consistency but this helped baby slip right on out a lil too fast though he tore me 😂

I always encourage you to consult with your doctor first before trying anything out of the ordinary to induce labor, you should get the OK from your care provider. Overstimulation of the uterus, which can occur with nipple stimulation or some medicines, could harm the unborn child. So please be mindful
