Goodbye 75 Hard, Hello Sustainable Habits 👋
I chose the 75 Soft Challenge because I needed flexibility and balance to make these changes stick for the long run. It’s challenging my discipline without sacrificing my sanity!
Here’s what makes 75 Soft realistic:
Movement: Just 45 minutes, with two active rest days built in.
Diet: Eating well, with space for social meals(still choosing healthy options) when life happens.
Water: 3 liters (a gallon was too much for me!).
Reading(optional): 10 pages of any book—hello, fun fiction!
I'm on Day [20] and it finally feels like I can do this!

The 75 Soft Challenge offers a refreshing alternative to intense programs like 75 Hard by focusing on sustainability and mental well-being. Instead of rigid routines, it encourages achievable daily habits like 45 minutes of movement combined with two active rest days that promote recovery—a crucial factor often overlooked in fitness journeys. Many people struggle with the "all or nothing" mindset that causes burnout and discouragement; this flexible approach helps build discipline gently, making consistency much more attainable. Nutrition is another key pillar of 75 Soft, emphasizing wholesome eating without cutting out enjoyment entirely. It's empowering to know that social meals remain part of the plan, allowing you to savor gatherings while still making mindful choices. This approach acknowledges real life and fosters a positive relationship with food rather than restrictive dieting. Hydration goals in 75 Soft are also personalized, with a suggested intake of 3 liters of water daily. This is more approachable than demanding a gallon a day and takes one's specific body needs—like age and weight—into account. Proper hydration supports overall health and aids in managing water retention, a common concern many face. Incorporating reading, even if optional, adds a mental wellness dimension by encouraging downtime with enjoyable content, such as fiction, helping balance physical efforts with relaxation. Many newcomers to fitness may feel overwhelmed by daunting step goals or intense workout regimens. The 75 Soft Challenge suggests achievable step counts between 8,000–10,000 steps a day and varying types of exercise, including mild activities such as walking or beginner workouts, making it highly adaptable for all fitness levels. This balanced method prioritizes mental health alongside physical improvements, which aligns with current insights showing that wellbeing habits are most effective when they are maintainable in daily life. Switching to 75 Soft can feel like a breath of fresh air, especially for busy individuals like moms or those just starting their fitness journey, creating a sustainable path toward improved health and happiness.
