This year, I find myself so incredibly attached to my Christmas tree that even the mere thought of having to throw it out in a few days breaks my heart. I try to see it as a metaphor for the fact that the year is coming to an end, and that my reluctance to let go of something on the physical plane (the 🎄) may mean there is something on the emotional side that is pressing.

Meaning: I’m struggling to shed the last bits that need to be let go of in order to enter the new, because a film project didn’t land within the timeframe I had hoped it would. I try to remind myself that everything I want wants me too. And that pursuing something for ten years (my writing career) isn’t much on the grand scheme of things. I haven’t landed in those beliefs quite yet, but I think will ❤️
