✨ Tea time is all the time in my house ✨

Me and my family enjoy tea year-round, whether it’s to wind down at night, cozy up in the winter, or sip something refreshing in the summer. These are some of my current favorites:

🎃 Brenner Cinnamon Apple & Pumpkin Spice teas are from Aldi. They are rich teas with spice that puts you in the mood for Fall.

🍓 Simple Truth Organic Elderberry Herbal Tea: immune-boosting and fruity

🍍 Good & Gather Mango Pineapple Ginger (my top 2 tea): tropical, zesty, and caffeine-free

🍊 Harney & Sons Hot Cinnamon Sunset: bold black tea with warming spice (my top tea; reminds me of cinnamon Mike & Ikes candy)

🌿 Traditional Medicinals Triple Mint: peppermint, spearmint, and lemon balm for digestion

🌱 Traditional Medicinals Spearmint: smooth, minty, and refreshing

It’s not just a drink; it’s a moment of mindfulness, a warm embrace, and incredibly simple to make. Especially when I'm looking for something truly soothing or a refreshing pick-me-up, it’s my go-to. Making a perfect cup of hot lemon tea is so easy. All you need is some hot water, a fresh lemon, and optionally, a touch of honey or ginger. I usually boil filtered water, let it cool for a minute or two (you don't want to scald the lemon!), then pour it into my favorite mug. I squeeze in the juice of half a lemon, stir, and often add a slice or two to float on top for that extra visual appeal. The aroma alone is instantly uplifting! What truly makes hot lemon tea so special is its aesthetic. There's something inherently beautiful about a clear glass mug showing the warm, golden hue of the tea, with a bright lemon slice gently swirling. Sometimes, I'll add a sprig of fresh mint or a thin slice of ginger for an elevated look and an extra burst of flavor. It transforms a simple drink into a comforting ritual, perfect for winding down in the evening or a quiet morning moment. Beyond its visual charm, hot lemon tea is packed with wellness benefits. The lemon itself is a fantastic source of Vitamin C, which can be a real boost for your immune system, much like the elderberry herbal tea I sometimes enjoy. It's also known to aid digestion, similar to what I look for in a good triple mint blend. The warmth is incredibly soothing for a sore throat or just to warm you from the inside out on a chilly day. I love experimenting with different additions to my basic hot lemon tea. For a little sweetness and extra immune support, a spoonful of local honey is always a winner. If I’m craving something with a bit more kick and digestive aid, I’ll grate in some fresh ginger – it adds a wonderful warmth and zestiness, reminiscent of those tropical mango pineapple ginger teas. Sometimes, in the fall, I even infuse a small piece of cinnamon stick while the water heats, which gives it a lovely warming spice, much like those cinnamon apple or pumpkin spice blends. You can even add a touch of dried lemon balm for an extra citrusy, calming note, enhancing the herbal tea experience. Whether it’s to start my day feeling refreshed, to find a moment of peace in the afternoon, or to wind down before bed, hot lemon tea is a versatile and beautiful choice. It’s a wonderful way to incorporate a simple wellness practice into your daily routine. Try creating your own version and see how this simple, aesthetic drink can elevate your tea time!
