in the last year since being laid off, I’ve been more consistent with content creation than I was in the entire 5 years since I started in 2020.
in terms of fulfillment, I’ve felt it to the max in leaps and bounds. I get goosebumps when I remember some of your messages and comments telling me I’ve changed your perspective on something, helped you accomplish a longtime goal, or made you feel less alone. I’ll forever be grateful for your vulnerability with me and trust in me. 🤍
on the other side, just to let you guys in a little — financially, the return has been inconsistent and unsustainable. In part, I believe it’s because I’m not “mainstream” — in looks or in content. (as much as things have progressed online, that reality still exists.) the other part? well, it’s me. I take full responsibility.
because I feel like I know exactly what to do… but actually doing it? that’s where fear pummels its way in. fear of success, fear of rejection.
I have endless ideas floating around. Ideas that could bring financial stability, yes, but also ones that could further support this community we’ve built. the problem is, they stay STUCK in my head. I analyze until I paralyze myself.
today, I’m sitting in that paralysis, worried about life, but still firmly holding the belief that things WILL work out if I just keep going (and if I let fear stop running the show).
anyway, for the last year, I haven’t gone so much as a day without posting. I didn’t want today to be any different, but I did want to pause for a sec and just share what’s on my mind, even if it’s just me in a dusty black tee.
if you made it this far, thank you for being here. thank you for reading. back to regularly scheduled content real soon, probably later today tbh lol.
love you, mean it. 💛

Consistency in content creation is a powerful drive for many creators who seek not only to express themselves but also to connect with an audience. Many creators face similar experiences of personal growth and battling internal fears such as fear of success and rejection. These fears can often cause a mental block, preventing ideas from turning into actionable projects. Understanding these emotions is crucial for full-time content creators who want to transform their passion into a sustainable career. Building a community online is a rewarding aspect, as seen through the meaningful interactions and feedback from followers, which often provide motivation and purpose. However, the financial aspect can be unpredictable, especially for creators who do not conform to mainstream aesthetics or content trends. This highlights an ongoing challenge in the digital content space where visibility and monetization opportunities might favor a certain style or niche. To break free from the paralysis caused by overthinking, creators might try goal-setting strategies, small consistent steps, or collaboration with others to bring fresh perspectives and accountability. Diversifying content types and revenue streams, including brand partnerships, merchandise, or exclusive memberships, can also help stabilize income. Most importantly, embracing authenticity and vulnerability builds trust and strengthens community bonds. Sharing real struggles and successes resonates deeply with audiences, offering a sense of connection in an often isolating journey. Though fear is a natural part of growth, persistence and belief in oneself are fundamental to moving forward and achieving long-term goals in content creation. This honest reflection encourages fellow creators to keep going despite uncertainties and reminds everyone that the path to success is rarely linear but rewarding through genuine engagement and self-expression.
