Hey everyone! So glad you stopped by after seeing my post on my beautiful long Knotless Fulani Boho Braids. I know how much goes into getting a new protective style, and I wanted to share a bit more about my personal experience and what I've learned during my braid day journey. These braids truly are a game-changer! First off, if you're wondering what makes Fulani Knotless Braids so special, they're a gorgeous blend of traditional Fulani braiding, often featuring cornrows in the front and individual braids at the back, combined with the 'knotless' technique. This means no tiny knot at the root, which makes them feel so much lighter, causes less tension on your scalp, and gives a more natural, seamless look right from day one. Mine are also 'boho,' meaning they incorporate loose, curly hair strands to add a lovely, whimsical touch – perfect for that free-spirited vibe! I absolutely love how versatile they are and how they protect my natural hair. After exploring different styles, the Fulani look with the knotless method really stood out for its comfort and elegance. The lack of tension was a huge plus for me, especially since I wanted them long. Plus, waking up with my hair already styled is pure bliss! Before my braid day (which you can totally check out in my full video on YouTube!), I always make sure to deep condition my hair and get a good trim if needed. Starting with healthy, moisturized hair is key to making sure your braids last and your natural hair stays strong underneath. I also had all my styling products ready – a good mousse for shine and a light oil for my scalp. Once they were in, keeping them looking fresh was easier than I thought. I make sure to moisturize my scalp daily with a light oil and sleep with a satin bonnet or pillowcase to prevent frizz. A little mousse can help refresh the curly pieces of the boho style. And remember to gently cleanse your scalp every week or two without disturbing the braids too much. These tips really help extend the life of your style and keep your hair healthy. I’ve had so much fun styling my long Fulani Knotless Boho Braids – from simple ponytails to half-up, half-down looks. They're surprisingly lightweight for their length, making them comfortable for everyday wear. I typically keep this style for about 6-8 weeks, depending on how I maintain them. It's truly a protective style that doesn't compromise on beauty or comfort. If you're contemplating getting them, I highly recommend watching the full video for a step-by-step insight into the process and seeing how gorgeous they truly are!
